Tony de Lautour

b. Melbourne, AUS, 1965

Tony de Lautour has exhibited widely throughout New Zealand, and regularly in Australia. The artist gained critical attention in 1994 with Bad White Art, an exhibition which featured many of his characteristic motifs inspired by traditional Americana tattoo imagery: lightning bolts, guns, knives, teardrops, chains, and syringes; full of dark humour and social antagonism.
