Soltero’s art making process, and the structured composition of his works, is heavily inspired by his background in graphic design. The artist creates a draft layout for his final compositions: a calculated arrangement of printed and hand-drawn abstract letterforms, which are digitised and reconfigured. The completed image is re-printed, hand traced, and stencilled before rich blacks and metallic paints are applied.
